Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984, at New York City New York. She is an American singer/actress whose range has gained her recognition across a range of genres - from thrillers and action films to period dramas. Johansson was the daughter of an architect and producer was brought up as a child in New York City. She and her twin brother Hunter were the youngest of four siblings. When she was a kid she was able to begin performing. At 7 years old She had auditioned for several commercials. Her interest in acting grew rapidly and she soon after in the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute. At the age of eight old, Johansson appeared alongside Ethan Hawke as Sophistry in an Off-Broadway show. And at age nine her debut film was Rob Reiner's North (1994). Johansson later appeared as a character in Just Cause (1995), but her first break was in the form of Manny & Lo a coming of age drama about sisters fleeing. Then, she was awarded critical praise for portraying an teen girl who experienced an accident which resulted in her being disfigured as she appeared in The Horse Whisperer (1998). The film gained her more acclaim with the film Ghost World (2002) as the cynical outcast Rebecca. She has given one of the most memorable performance, such as in Wildflower. Renee Felice Smith entered the realm of entertainment when she was very young. As a child she was captivated by acting. Smith landed the first of many acting roles at the tender age of 6. She was in the Dannon yogurt commercial. As many new actresses, she chose to develop her skills in theater. She worked on various projects within the USA in the midst of making her stage debut. She studied at The Stonestreet Studios Conservatory of the New York University Tisch School of the Arts.
